its scotch / 3m rubber mastic tape. it is 1in x 10 ft x0.65 inch i use it all over all my bikes. it has sticky back that peals off like a banana peal at end season but leaves little to no residue. there is some thicker stuff you can use but i didn't see the benefit to use it. i changed the tape once last season thats it. worked great for me. i know trek world racing and DGR use it on there bikes and a few other wc teams.
